Don Hutchison claimed on Twitter that Everton duo Tom Davies & Abdoulaye Doucouré even ‘outran’ and ‘outplayed’ Tottenham’s substitutes during their FA Cup thriller last night.

Both players played the entire 120 minutes, as Everton and Tottenham entertained those in lockdown with a nine-goal thriller at Goodison.

During the game, Carlo Ancelotti opted to use three of his available five substitutes, whilst Jose Mourinho did what Jurgen Klopp has been dreaming of doing and that’s using five subs.

Despite Tottenham bringing fresh legs into the middle of the pitch, including Dele Alli and Harry Winks before extra-time, BBC & ESPN pundit, Hutchison, thinks they were still outdone by Everton’s engine room.

A lot has been made about Alli’s lack of game time at Spurs, but he couldn’t make the impact that he would have liked – a lack of sharpness and fitness in his legs doesn’t help.

As for Winks, he had a moment to forget in extra time because he was dispossessed in his own defensive third for Everton’s winning goal.

Either way, with Allan out injured, Everton aren’t missing the summer signing because one of their very own has been stepping up to the plate in recent weeks.
