Pat Nevin has said on BBC Football Daily that Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is a world-class player.
The former Chelsea winger made the comment about Tierney while looking ahead to Scotland’s chances at the Euro 2020 finals this summer.
Nevin, a former Scotland international who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, seems to rate Arsenal left-back Tierney really highly.
The Scotsman said on BBC Football Daily: “I rate Kieran Tierney as a world-class player.”
Tierney is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and is a big player for Arsenal.
The 24-year-old has had injury problems during his time at Arsenal.
However, when the former Celtic left-back has played, he has done well and has impressed the Arsenal fans.
Tierney made 26 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Arsenal this past season.
The left-back scored one goal and gave three assists in those games.
Tierney also made four starts and five substitute appearances in the Europa League for the Gunners in 2020-21.
The Arsenal no.3 scored one goal in those matches.
Tierney will be a massive player for Scotland at the Euro 2020 finals.
Arsenal fans will hope that the left-back does well for Scotland and then returns to the Gunners without any injury problem.
For Mikel Arteta’s side to finish in the Premier League top four next season, Tierney will be a big player.
