Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live (19/10/20) that Wolves defender Nelson Semedo ‘got the better’ of Leeds United winger Jack Harrison at Elland Road on Monday night.
Wolves recorded a 1-0 win over Marcelo Bielsa’s men, with Raul Jimenez scoring late on after his shot deflected off the head of Kalvin Phillips.
Harrison returned to Leeds’ starting XI last night after he was ineligible for his side’s 1-1 draw with his parent club last time out.
But after 82 minutes, Marcelo Bielsa opted to take his left-sided winger off and Sutton thinks Wolves’ £37 million summer signing [BBC Sport] ensured his opponent had a ‘difficult night’.
“It’s been a bit of a difficult night for him,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I think Semedo has played very, very well. It has been a good battle.
“But I think Semedo has got the better of him. I know he’s a talented player.”
This was perhaps Harrison’s most difficult game to date because he has, on the grand scheme of things, started the season in a pretty strong fashion.
But there’s no shame in finding it tough against a player who was recently bombing down Barcelona’s right flank and linking up with a certain Lionel Messi.
Harrison will no doubt dust himself off and prepare for his side’s away clash at Aston Villa on Friday night – Dean Smith’s men are the only team in England with a 100% record in the league so far.
