Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that Tammy Abraham doesn’t have a future at Chelsea amid rumours West Ham and Aston Villa want to sign him.
The Chelsea hitman has seen his game time reduce a significant amount since Thomas Tuchel has been in charge, but that hasn’t stopped the likes of West Ham and Villa from expressing an interest in his talents.
The Athletic report that, along with West Ham and Villa, those at St James’ Park are also keen on bringing the penalty-box poacher to their club.
Sutton has been left baffled by how Abraham has been treated and thinks he won’t be at the club next season.
“Thomas Tuchel doesn’t rate him,” said Sutton. “I think that baffles a lot of people, that decision to not give Abraham the opportunity.
“But I think none of us can really doubt that Tuchel has gone in and made a real impact. There’s something with Tammy Abraham, he doesn’t like. I think it’s as simple as that.
“If he liked him then he would play him. Therefore, if you are looking at Tammy Abraham and does he have a career at Chelsea beyond this season? He doesn’t.
“He is going to have to move on beyond this season. What’s going to change over the summer period, which is going to change Tuchel’s mind where he thinks Abraham is going to be good? He’s not a kid anymore.”

After scoring 15 Premier League goals last season, Abraham has been well and truly done over during this campaign.
Whilst big-money summer signing, Timo Werner, continues to earn starts despite his struggles in front of goal, Abraham isn’t even handed a chance on the bench.
The Englishman simply has to leave Stamford Bridge and those at Villa, who he helped earn promotion in 2019, would welcome him with open arms.
Or staying in London and playing for the Hammers, who are in Europe, and have a thriving squad at their disposal.
Either way, staying at Chelsea isn’t an option because it has stagnated his career.
