BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has backed Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to get the better of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Arsenal and Manchester United will lock horns with each other in the league in a few hours’ time.

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton believes that the Gunners will pick up all three points from the encounter against the Red Devils.

The BBC Sport pundit believes that Arsenal will win the match 2-1, but he does not think expect the North London club to find it easy.

Chris Sutton predicts Arsenal vs Manchester United

Sutton told BBC Sport: “Both these teams I think performance-wise have underachieved albeit Arsenal have seven points from nine and Manchester United have six from nine.

“I think there are question marks over whether Mikel Arteta has been tinkering too much, legitimate questions really. Manchester United just haven’t sparked yet.

“They ended up beating Nottingham Forest with a dubious penalty. Arsenal, at Emirates Stadium – this is going to be the kick-start to their season. I think they’ll beat Manchester United but I don’t think it’ll be a walkover.

“Sutton’s prediction: 2-1.”

We believe that Arsenal will head into the Premier League match against Manchester United as favourites.

First of all, the match will be held at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have been very good at home for a while now, and the fans will be like the 12th man for the team.

It is hard to see the Gunners drop all three points at the Emirates Stadium today.

Secondly, Arsenal are in better form and are playing better than United.

The Red Devils have not been particularly great, and we believe that Arsenal will eventually pick up all three points from the game.
