West Ham’s manager Slaven Bilic looks dejected
Former player Jason Roberts believes West Ham United duo James Collins and Angelo Ogbonna failed to turn up as the Hammers lost 4-2 at West Bromwich Albion, BBC Sport reports.
Slaven Bilic’s side have made a poor start to the season and headed in to their clash with West Brom coming off the back of a disappointing 4-2 home defeat to Watford.
The Hammers just haven’t got going at all and their defending has been poor, yet against the Baggies they reached an alarmingly new low as they put in a woefully embarrassing display.

Despite having as much as 70% possession and dominating shots, the East London club were at one stage 4-0 down and BBC pundit Roberts wasn’t too impressed with their centre-back pairing.
“I don’t know where to start with West Ham. James Collins and Angelo Ogbonna have not turned up today. They are allowing people to go forward, they’re not doing their jobs properly and they’re consistently getting exposed,” the former Wigan Athletic striker told BBC Radio Five Live.
“Even on the sidelines, Slaven Bilic is stood there. You want to see him getting animated.”

West Ham were at one stage challenging for a top four spot in the Premier League last season, yet thus far they have looked a shadow of the side which so often left supporters purring and wanting more.
The club spent the majority of the summer looking to buy that elusive world class striker, when really early results suggest they should have instead been looking to bulk up their defensive ranks.
Bilic’s side have conceded an alarming 13 goals in five league matches, and 11 in their last three games.
