The former Celtic striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, is not happy with the reported Rangers target for not training for Charlton Athletic.
According to TEAMtalk, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wants to sign the 30-year-old striker on a free transfer this summer.
A number of other clubs, including Crystal Palace, Burnley and Preston North End, are also claimed to be interested in Taylor, who is out of contract at Charlton at the end of the month.
The Montserrat international striker recently explained on Sky Sports why he is not training with the Addicks and will not play for them this month again before his contract runs out.
Sutton has slammed Taylor for his stance, and is quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun: “I can understand both parties and I’m not sitting on the fence here. The one thing I can’t understand is he has a contract.
“He is not fulfilling his contract. Are Charlton still paying him? They shouldn’t be paying him. And I have to say, if I was in his dressing room, I’d get him up against a wall, I’d pin him up against the wall, he has let his club down.
“He is talking about his future and I get that from a personal point of view but what about his teammates, what happens if they get relegated, what happens to their contracts?
“It is so selfish. He is not seeing through his contract, he is not even playing until the end of June.”
