Chelsea performance was Premier League’s best ever claims esteemed commentator.
Iconic BBC commentator John Motson has paid tribute to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea with a sensational claim regarding their weekend performance.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Motson said Chelsea’s 5-0 weekend win over Everton was the best he has ever seen in the Premier League.

He acknowledged Arsenal’s greatest ever side, the 2003/04 Invincibles, and Manchester United’s most dominant teams, from 1999 to the early 2000s, arguing this single performance outdid anything either side ever produced.
He went onto claim that he was certain Chelsea will go on to win the 2016/17 title.
Motson said: “This was the best 90 minute performance I have ever seen in the Premier League.
“I put it above anything I saw from Arsenal when they were at their best, I put it above anything I saw from Manchester United because this was football on another planet.
“Producing football like that, I’m not going to look any further for the champions.”

Chelsea’s win saw them end the weekend moving up from fourth place into second, with Manchester City slipping up at home to Middlesbrough.
They were top on Saturday night, before Liverpool’s 6-1 win over Watford saw them overtake the Blues by a point.
There is a long way to go for this Chelsea side to really earn the right to be discussed in the same company as great as United and Arsenal’s best Premier League teams, but Motson’s comments are huge praise, and words which Conte’s team now need to go and back up by maintaining the same level of performance as they one which destroyed Everton.
