Arsenal should consider a summer swoop for the Bayern Munich ace.

According to a report from German media outlet Bild, Bayern Munich have placed Juan Bernat on the transfer list, and Unai Emery should not hesitate to bring him to Arsenal.

Nacho Monreal impressed for the Gunners last season, but he is now on the wrong side of 32, whilst Sead Kolasinac failed to convince at the Emirates.

The addition of a truly top class left-back could very well help take Arsenal to the next level, and Bernat might just be the man for the job.

The 25-year-old joined Bayern from Valencia in the summer of 2014, and he has since gone on to make 111 appearances in all competitions for the Bavarian giants.

Bernat has just one year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena, however, so Arsenal might just be able to pick him up for a bargain fee this summer.

The Spain international possesses pace in abundance, and he’s just as much of an asset going forward as he is defensively, making him ideally suited to that way in which Unai Emery’s likes his full-backs to operate.

At the age of 25, the Bayern ace still has plenty of years left ahead of him at the very highest level, and he would be a massive upgrade for Arsenal in the left-back department.
