The Citizens were the better side and were helped by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson making two bad mistakes.
Sane left City for Bayern in the summer of 2020, and the 25-year-old winger is delighted at the win for Pep Guardiola’s side and has praised Ilkay Gundogan for his goal.
Another title for Manchester City?
City are now in pole position to make it three Premier League titles in four years.
The Citizens are playing well and are winning matches with ease, and at the moment, it is hard to see them slip up in the final weeks and months of the season.
Guardiola’s side are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 22 matches, five points clear of second-placed and city rivals Manchester United, who have played 23 games.
City fans must be over the moon at the moment, as their team go from strength to strength.
