Bayern Munich are back. Arsenal fans can smile this time.

Arsenal will be glad they no longer have to deal with Bayern Munich.
The German side beat the Gunners 5-1 home and away in 2016/17, winning 10-2 on aggregate.
This time Arsenal could smile as Bayern beat their rivals Tottenham Hotspur 7-2, a heavier defeat in any one off game than any of their losses.
Bayern’s social media account acknowledged the positive messages they were getting from Arsenal supporters.
The night was truly bittersweet from Arsenal’s perspective though.
Former Gunner Serge Gnabry scored four goals, meaning in some way they could enjoy the thrashing of Spurs even more.
Yet it hammered home one of Arsenal’s biggest ever mistakes, giving up on the talented German so soon.
Perhaps if they had Gnabry still, Arsenal’s draw against Spurs earlier this season might have been a win instead.
