Liverpool play host to Bayern Munich in the Champions League tomorrow night.

Bayern Munich have suffered a huge blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool, with the news that Jerome Boateng will not be fit for the game due to illness.
Bayern posted their squad list for tomorrow’s match against the Reds via their official Twitter account, and there was one glaring omission…
Liverpool head into the game in second spot in the Premier League table, behind league leaders Manchester City due to an inferior goal difference, but they do have a game in hand over Pep Guardiola’s side.
Bayern, meanwhile, are also in second spot in the Bundesliga, two points adrift of Borussia Dortmund, having played a game more than the black and yellow.
Tomorrow night’s clash between Liverpool and Bayern at Anfield will undoubtedly be a fantastic spectacle, and both sides will be confident of winning the game.

Losing Boateng for the match will be a bitter blow to the Bavarian giant’s hopes of progressing through to the quarter-finals of the competition, however.
Liverpool still cannot afford to take anything for granted, though, and they will need to be at their very best tomorrow night.
