Everton made the bold decision to loan out Moise Kean in October – and now they really need to bring in another striker.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has excelled, but he is out injured, and Richarlison has also been through injury woes, meaning Carlo Ancelotti is in the market for a new striker.

Marcel Brands appears to be using his knowledge of Dutch football to try and bring in a talent for the future, with Joshua Zirkzee wanted.

The Daily Mail report that Everton are in talks to take Zirkzee on loan with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Zirkzee, 19, was a hot prospect at Feyenoord, and has scored four times in 16 games for Bayern’s first team, but could now be on the move.

The 6ft 4in Dutchman could make sense as a budget replacement for Kean and cover for Calvert-Lewin, whilst there is plenty of untapped potential in the teenager.

Bayern Munich fans have been taking to Twitter to suggest that the club will regret letting Zirkzee go, questioning just what on earth the club are thinking by letting him leave.

Some think the move makes no sense and would be much cheaper than his true value, seemingly having belief that Zirkzee can become a star if given time – which should encourage Everton fans.
