Sport BILD have reported that Bayern Munich are starting to question whether to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

CBS journalist Ben Jacobs had said on The Done Deal Show that Bayern “like” Kane and are interested in making him their next marquee addition.

Club chief Oliver Kahn himself told Christian Falk, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano that the Tottenham legend would be a “dream” signing for the German champions.

However, it seems the German club could now step aside from their pursuit to sign one of the most lethal goalscorers in the world.

A new report by Sport BILD has stated that there are “doubts” at Bayern Munich that Harry Kane would be keen on heading to the Bundesliga.

Interestingly, these question marks seem to be “growing” at Bayern as time progresses.

Further details claim that in the Bavarian giants’ attempts to sign Kane, they are yet to get the impression that the interest has been reciprocated.

It goes without saying that this feeling has seemingly put Bayern off from making a move to sign the England captain.

Furthermore, Eric Choupo-Moting is starting to convince those within the club that he is fit to lead the line singlehandedly.

With 11 goals in all competitions so far, Choupo-Moting has been in fine form this season.

If Bayern end up signing Harry Kane, there is a feeling that the ex-Stoke City goalscorer will leave, as he does not wish to compete for a starting place against a top striker.

In our view: Kane must say yes to Bundesliga switch

Yes, the motivation to lead one’s boyhood club in Tottenham Hotspur is a noble objective.

But Harry Kane, more than most must be aware of the fact that Tottenham are chronic underachievers and are yet to win a trophy since 2008.

On the other hand, Kane would be lifting silverware for fun at Bayern Munich, who have won 10 Bundesliga titles in a row.

To cement his legacy as one of the best strikers of his generation, the Tottenham hero must embrace a move to Bayern in the summer.

The fact that despite the 29-year-old being one of the Premier League’s greatest goalscorers, the fact that Kane was bizarrely dubbed as “lethargic” by Richard Keys is an indicator that winning trophies at Bayern Munich would be the best way for him to silence his endless list of detractors.
