Toffees boss Ronald Koeman already finds himself under intense pressure at Goodison Park, following his side’s worrying start to their 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
Everton currently sit in 16th position in the table, after a woeful return of just seven points from seven outings thus far, but perhaps a more concerning statistic is their tally of just four goals scored in the league.
Koeman’s need for an established goal scorer is obvious, and he will surely be prioritising the acquisition of an experienced frontman in January.

With this in mind, the Dutchman should consider a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland, who has been in fine form in the Bundesliga so far this season.
The 25-year-old has already bagged four goals in just seven league outings for his club this season, and his all-round game seems to be perfectly suited to the robust nature of the Premier League.
Although he only stands at just over 5ft 10in tall, Volland is physically capable, and strong in the air. He is wonderfully apt when playing with his back to goal and excels when holding the ball up, and bringing his teammates into play.

The 10 capped Germany international is also an accomplished finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
Volland would undoubtedly help bring a certain level of potency to Everton’s attacking play, and if Koeman does manage to bring him to Goodison Park in January, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Blues.
