Newcastle United are said to be keen to sign Bas Dost from Sporting Lisbon this summer.

Dost has been a long term target of Newcastle, and the printed edition of A Bola (11th May) claims that Rafael Benitez is eyeing the target-man again.
It now remains to be seen whether Dost will be as keen to join Newcastle this summer, as he was three years ago.

The Dutch forward was reportedly ready to sign a four-year deal at St. James’ Park back in 2015, but Newcastle failed to get a deal over the line.
And if Newcastle do go back for the Sporting Lisbon man in the coming months then they will have to hope that he is still willing to put pen to paper.
Newcastle are known to be on the lookout for a goalscorer and Dost could fill that void in their squad.

The 28-year-old has been a prolific scorer in a number of Europe’s top leagues, and has continued to find the net regularly this term.
Dost has 26 goals in 29 appearances for Sporting this season, and would be in competition with the likes of Dwight Gayle, Joselu and Ayoze Perez for a starting place.
