Both Marc Bartra and Neven Subotic could be leaving Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window, according to German publication Bild.

Sokratis and Omar Toprak have been the preferred central defensive partnership for Dortmund in recent times, leaving both Bartra and Subotic sidelined.

The latter is linked with a move to Saint-Etienne and while the former is thought to favour a return to his native Spain, could the Premier League tempt the 27-year-old?

At the start of this month the Telegraph claimed that both Everton and Leicester City needed to sign a new centre-back and Bartra could be the ideal fit for either.

With many years at the top level ahead of him, the Spain international is an attractive prospect having played more than 50 matches for Dortmund and over 100 for Barcelona, winning La Liga five times and the Champions League and Copa del Rey twice apiece during that time.
