Rangers have now made it five summer signings as they return to the Scottish Premiership.

New Rangers signing Clint Hill has told the club’s official YouTube channel that he was stunned when the Gers registered an interest in signing him.
Having already landed Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Jordan Rossiter and Joey Barton, Rangers made it five summer signings on Friday afternoon as they landed Hill.
The 37-year-old has turned out for the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Oldham Athletic, Stoke City, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers – where he played alongside fellow Rangers new boy Barton – and Nottingham Forest in a lengthy playing career in England.
Now up in Glasgow, Hill – who can play at left back or centre back – will be relied upon for his vast experience, given how centre backs Rob Kiernan and Danny Wilson endured inconsistent seasons and some moments where a veteran presence was needed.
That’s what Hill offers to Rangers, but it’s fair to say that the player himself is shocked by the move having been released by Championship side QPR.
Speaking to Rangers’ official YouTube channel, Hill questioned whether Rangers really wanted a 37-year-old defender when he first learned of Mark Warburton’s interest, and as a move to Ibrox became more and more realistic, he had hairs standing on the back of his neck, showing just how shocked he was.
“It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, the last couple of weeks,” said Hill. “There was a bit of interest, but when you get to my age you start thinking ‘Do Rangers really want me to go there?’ So it was a bit like that for the first week.”
“And then it intensified a little bit more, and it starts to become a bit more realistic and you get hairs on the back of your neck going, so the chance to come here was too good to turn down, definitely.” he added.
