Rangers midfielder Joey Barton was given a three-week suspension following his post-Old Firm altercation.

Joey Barton has let fans know how he will be spending his time off from Rangers after being suspended by the club for three weeks for his clash with teammate Andy Halliday.
The 34-year-old midfielder posted a picture of himself on his personal Instagram account, stood behind a table full of copies of his upcoming autobiography.
Barton does not look happy about the magnitude of books he has to sign, but fortunately for the Rangers number eight, he has quite a lot of time on his hands, as many of his followers pointed out in the comments section.
The Scouser began his three-week suspension on Monday, after a meeting with Rangers boss Mark Warburton, who had previously told Barton to stay away from the club before the two met at Ibrox.

Following Rangers’ 5-1 loss to Celtic in the first Old Firm clash of the season, Barton had an altercation with fellow midfielder Halliday, and the ex-Newcastle man reportedly went too far with his comments, resulting in him being sent home from the training ground.
While Barton does not seem too enthused about the prospect of signing a table full of copies of his book ‘No Nonsense’, published on 22 September, it will certainly keep him busy as he continues his three-week ban from Ranges action.
