Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes, with Graeme Murty currently in charge of the Gers.

Murty is in charge of the Rangers first team at the moment, having been given the role temporarily following the departure of Pedro Caixinha.
According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are interested in appointing Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes as their new manager and will make a move soon.

It has been reported that the Gers could have to pay as much as £1 million in compensation to Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen for McInnes.
Rangers, though, recently won back-to-back matches against Aberdeen and have gone second in the Scottish Premiership table for the time being.
Former Rangers and Newcastle United midfielder Barton, who had a short spell at Ibrox last season, has asked why the Gers are not giving the managerial job to Murty.

Barton asked on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (8:11am, December 4, 2017): “They were talking about McInnes maybe getting it, weren’t they? Why would you give it to him if Murty has just turned them over? Why wouldn’t you give it to Murty?”
