Jack Marriott ended up moving to Derby County today, despite reported interest from Nottingham Forest.

Derby County striker Jack Marriott may be wishing that Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry never spoke of him wanting to join Nottingham Forest earlier this summer.
Fry said: “Jack does want to join Nottingham Forest. But Derby’s interest is recent and I would say they have a better chance of making us the right sort of offer.”
Marriott signed for Derby today, and the striker is likely to wish Fry had never came out an publicly spoke of his desire to join Forest.

Forest and Derby are huge rivals, and Marriott will want those quotes to quickly be forgotten about.
Indeed, the striker came out today and suggested that Derby was his first choice of club to join.
Marriott suggested it was a ‘no brainer’ to move to the Rams, during his first interview after his signing was officially unveiled.
Marriott scored 33 goals for Posh last season, and will be hoping he can hit a similar total in Frank Lampard’s side this time around.
