Peterborough United are trying to sign Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Luke McGee on a permanent deal.
Peterborough United director of football has confirmed to the Peterborough Evening Telegraph that he is attempting to secure a deal for Tottenham Hotspur stopper Luke McGee this summer.
Fry has already met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to try and negotiate a deal for the 21-year-old.
He said: “I went to the West Ham v Spurs match last Friday with the intention of speaking to Daniel Levy.
“We had a conversation, and while negotiating with Levy is never easy, I made our case and I hope we will speak again soon.

“I want to sign Luke on a free transfer, but I would give Spurs a huge sell-on fee.
“It makes sense for us and I think it makes sense for Spurs as well as, good as Luke is, he is not near their first team and I understand they will be signing another goalkeeper soon anyway.”
Spurs are expected to bring in Pau Lopez on a permanent transfer this summer, but whether that was the planned signing Fry was alluding to is not entirely clear.

McGee spent last season on loan at Peterborough, where he earned rave reviews for his performances.
McGee won Posh’s Players’ Player of the Season award, and established himself as Grant McCann’s side’s number one goalkeeper.
McGee is understood to be on a hefty contract at Tottenham, and may have to take a wage drop if he was to make a move to Peterborough.
If Posh’s attempts to sign McGee do not materialise, Spurs are likely to loan out the stopper again next term.
