Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers signed Steven Davis from Southampton on loan in January.

Davis joined Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers on loan from Southampton in the January transfer window.
The 34-year-old midfielder is scheduled to stay at Rangers until the end of the season.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the Northern Ireland international is out of contract at Southampton in the summer of 2019.
This means that Rangers could secure the services of Davis – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – on a permanent contract in the summer on a free transfer, and Ibrox legend Ferguson has suggested that Gerrard should secure the services of the former Aston Villa star.
Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record: “But I cannot stress enough what an impact Steve Davis has had on the way this team is now playing and what a difference he has made to the whole style of play.
“Gerrard will be a busy man throughout the transfer market this summer but he’ll struggle to do a better of business than sitting Davo down right now and getting him tied up.”

Good signing for Rangers?
Davis is in his second spell at Rangers at the moment, and the midfielder has been playing well for the Gers in recent weeks.
The midfielder has made seven starts and four substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, according to WhoScored.
