Both Rangers and Celtic secured comfortable wins in the Scottish Premiership over the weekend.

Barry Ferguson thinks that Rangers are ‘slightly stronger’ than Celtic in the attacking department after the Old Firm duo picked up maximum points on Sunday.
Both Alfredo Morelos and Odsonne Edouard were on the scoresheet again for their respective teams, as they go into the international break level on points.
If either player were to get injured, Rangers have Jermain Defoe as a back-up to Morelos, whilst Celtic have Vakoun Bayo and Leigh Griffiths, who are out of the squads for their own reasons, at this moment in time.
Speaking to PLZ Soccer, Ferguson thinks that Rangers have the edge over their Old Firm rivals in the striking department, more so with what they have on the bench, as his comments will no doubt divide opinion.
“I think Rangers are slightly stronger in the sense that they have got Defoe,” Ferguson told PLZ Soccer. “Celtic, on the other hand, Leigh Griffiths is still struggling to get back in terms of fitness.
“I think he [Bayo] is out injured. I think that’s clearly an area Celtic need to strengthen in January, as far as I look at it now, Rangers are in a better situation, with having two key strikers available.”

Both Old Firm duo have showcased a serious threat in the attacking third this season and it has worked wonders for them, not just in Scotland, but in Europe too.
During the last encounter between the two teams, Gerrard opted against starting Morelos for that match at Ibrox, which in the end, proved to play a part in their defeat.
They meet on two occasions next month and given Morelos’ form in front of goal lately, he will no doubt start those encounters.
