Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers are interested in signing Philippe Senderos in the summer transfer window.
Philippe Senderos
Barry Ferguson has suggested in The Daily Record that Philippe Senderos would be a good signing for Rangers.
Rangers are interested in securing the services of the 31-year-old defender in the summer transfer window.
The former Arsenal and Aston Villa centre-back is a free agent at the moment and has been training with the Gers.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton was recently quoted as saying by BBC Sport that he could offer Senderos a contract.
According to a report in The Scottish Sun earlier today, the Switzerland international could become a Rangers player very soon.

Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has backed the Ibrox outfit’s pursuit of the ex-Fulham centre-back.
The former Scotland international has also commented on Joleon Lescott’s failed move to the Gers.
The 34-year-old Villa defender was set to move to Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers this month, but as Warburton told Sky Sports, the ex-Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion man decided against the switch due to family reasons.
Aston Villa’s Joleon Lescott goes off injured
“Lescott would have done well up here,” Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record. “I’ve no doubt about that. Not landing him will be a blow to Warburton but having Senderos as an option is hardly a disaster, is it?
“The guy has played for Arsenal and AC Milan. He has represented Switzerland at three World Cups and although he seems to have been around forever, he’s still only 31.
“The Rangers manager has had a look at him all week in training and will know how he is physically, and just as importantly, how he will fit in with the players who are already there.
“Mark spoke highly of him the other day and if Senderos signs he will be a very good addition.”
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with seven points from three matches.
