Glasgow Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar could be on the sidelines for a while with a knee injury.

Barry Ferguson has suggested in The Daily Record that losing Niko Kranjcar is a big blow for Rangers.
According to BBC Sport, Rangers midfielder Kranjcar suffered a knee injury in training which could keep him on the sidelines for months.
It has been reported that the medics at the Glasgow giants are now waiting for the swelling to go down before they are able to fully assess the problem.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson believes that the 32-year-old Croatian attacking midfielder’s absence is a blow to Mark Warburton’s side.

“Losing Niko Kranjcar long term is a major blow,” Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record. “It’s taken him time to settle but the Croat was starting to look like the player I used to see running the show in the English Premier League not so long ago.
“His fitness was improving and his performances were getting better by the week. So it’s a real shame that it looks like he’s suffered a bad one.”

Kranjcar joined Rangers in the summer transfer window and was expected to add creativity to the Gers’ midfield.
The former Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder arrived at Ibrox with a strong reputation, but the 32-year-old has yet to show his quality.
Rangers are fourth in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 15 points from nine matches.
Warburton’s side are seven points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
The Gers will take on Celtic at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.
