Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers will face Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.

Barry Ferguson has predicted in The Daily Record that Rangers will win against Heart of Midlothian at home this weekend.

Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers will take on Hearts at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has backed the Gers to pick up all three points from the encounter against Hearts.

The 39-year-old former Scotland international, though, has warned Rangers that Hearts forward Kyle Lafferty will pose a danger for the Ibrox outfit.

Lafferty joined the Jambos in the summer transfer window after leaving Norwich City in the Championship in England at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

The 29-year-old Northern Ireland international was on the books of Rangers from 2008 until 2012 when he moved to Sion.

Ferguson has said that he is surprised that Lafferty moved to Hearts in the summer transfer window because he would have been a good signing for Rangers.

The Scotsman has also claimed that Lafferty wanted to move to Ibrox this summer.

“From what I’ve seen of the Jambos, they’re still a fragile bunch,” Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record.

“I know they got a good result at Kilmarnock last week but I don’t fancy them to get anything at Ibrox. In fact, if they go a goal down the way Hibs did last week, they could buckle.

“That’s why I fully expect Rangers to win, and win comfortably, even though my old team mate Kyle Lafferty to pose a threat.

“I was surprised he moved to Tynecastle because he could have done a job for Rangers and, let’s be honest, that’s where he wanted to go.

“So he’ll be fired up to show what he’s got and I know that when he’s fully focused and motivated, he can be a real threat.

“Jamie Walker is another out to make an impression after the interest Rangers have shown in him this summer.”
