“At the centre of my defence my first pick is Erik Sviatchenko,” Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record.
“I like the look of this guy. I like the way he plays. He’s not just a good defender but he reads the game really well and uses the ball well too. So he’s in.”

Sviatchenko joined Celtic from FC Midtjylland in the January transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the Scottish Premiership giants had to pay £1.5 million in order to secure the services of the Denmark international.
The 24-year-old central defender played quite well for Celtic during the second half of last season.
Sviatchenko will be a key player for the Bhoys during the 2016-17 campaign.
Celtic will be aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title this season as well as progress to the group stage of the Champions League under new manager Brendan Rodgers.
Ferguson’s former club, Rangers, will also feature in the Scottish Premiership this campaign.
Mark Warburton’s side won the Scottish Championship title with ease last season and will be aiming to clinch the Scottish Premiership in 2016-17.
