Rangers legend Barry Ferguson says that Graham Dorrans will be a match winner for the Gers.
Barry Ferguson, the former Rangers player and a club legend, says that Graham Dorrans is a key signing for the Gers.
In fact, he says that Dorrans, who joined from Norwich City this summer, is possibly the most “significant signing” in Scottish football in the summer transfer window.
Ferguson says that he highly rates Olivier Ntcham, who joined Celtic from Manchester City for £4.5 million, but he is more excited about Dorrans.
He believes that the 30-year-old midfielder is “exactly what Rangers have been needing” (printed edition; press reader).

Rangers have undergone a massive rebuilding project this summer, with Pedro Caixinha signing as many as nine new players.
According to Ferguson, of all the signings made by Caixinha, Dorrans is the key, as he is a versatile player who can play as no. 10 behind the striker, can score goals and most importantly, can change the course of the game with moments of brilliance.
Dorrans is reportedly a Rangers fan, and Ferguson believes that it could bear extra importance. He cites his transfer move as the best bit of business done by Rangers this summer.
“Apart from Alves and of course Ryan Jack – who as a former Aberdeen captain is a good player who knows the Scottish game – Dorrans is, for me, the key that Rangers have been lacking,” wrote Ferguson in his column for the Daily Record.
“He plays that number 10 role in behind the striker with the ability to score goals and to change a game when it’s not going for you.
“Of course there are still figureheads like Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace who will play a vital role in bedding everyone in quickly to life at Rangers.
“But Dorrans can lift the whole place because he is a talent who can excite the fans and win games with his individual flair.”
