Celtic have made three additions to the first team so far this month, bringing in forward Timothy Weah on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, signing forward Vakoun Issouf Bayo from Dunajská Streda and recruiting winger Oliver Burke on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
Rangers have also been busy so far in the January transfer window, signing striker Jermain Defoe and midfielder Steven Davis on loan from Bournemouth and Southampton in the January transfer window.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson believes that Celtic manager Rodgers will make a major signing this month.
Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record: “I watched an interview with Brendan Rodgers the other day and it seemed clear to me he is nowhere near finished with his January business.
“I’d be very surprised if he’s not got something very big up his sleeve between now and the end of the month and that’s why Rangers fans shouldn’t get ahead of themselves just yet. Celtic are a wounded animal right now and they will be desperate to bite back.”

Title challenge
Rangers are giving Celtic a run for their money this season, and the Hoops really have to step up this season.
The Gers have a very strong and balanced squad, and Celtic have to take that in consideration.
Celtic, though, do have some quality players, and those who are not performing needs to step up when the mid-season winter break ends.
