Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been without Niko Kranjcar since way back in October.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Niko Kranjcar has told the Scottish Sun that he hopes to return from injury for the start of next season.
Kranjcar has not played for Rangers since back in October 2016, after picking up a knee injury.
The Croatian international has had to watch on from the sidelines, as his Ibrox teammates have struggled to live up to expectations.
However, Kranjcar is starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, and is hoping that he can play a big part for Rangers next term.
“Come May, hopefully I can join in with the lads and do a full session but the goal is to be fit for next season,” he said.
“You have to be patient with these injuries and I think it is really important to have it 100 per cent before I start doing any harder work.”
Kranjcar’s return could be a major boost for Rangers, as he possesses the talent to propel them to the next level.
Indeed, Barry Ferguson, who is rumoured to be in the running to become Rangers’ first-team coach in the near future (Sky Sports), once called Kranjcar the most talented player in Scotland.
“In fact, Niko Kranjcar is probably the most gifted football player anywhere in Scotland right now,” Ferguson said to the Daily Record.
“Once he’s fully fit he will give this Rangers team what Lubo Moravcik brought to Celtic all those years ago – and what a player he was by the way.
“Kranjcar is in the same bracket and plays with the same kind of elegance. He does things with a football which leave you shaking your head in disbelief.”
Ferguson has recently met with new Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, with a view to becoming a coach at Ibrox.
If Ferguson does land the role, he will be able to see Kranjcar’s talents first hand next season.
For now though, Kranjcar is set to continue to watch on, as his Rangers teammates battle it out to claim second place in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers are next in action after the international break, when they take on Motherwell.
