Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic will face Hibernian at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.

Former Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson has predicted on Betsafe that Celtic will win against Hibernian this weekend.

The former Rangers star, who had two separate spells at Ibrox, has also spoken highly of Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.

Griffiths scored the winner in the Hoops’ 2-1 victory over Partick Thistle away from home at Firhill Stadium in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday evening.

Celtic will be looking to maintain their good run of form with victory over Hibernian at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternon.

Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has backed Brendan Rodgers’s side to pick up all three points against Hibs and has also praised 27-year-old Scotland international striker Griffiths.

Ferguson told Betsafe: “I see Celtic winning this game.”

The former Rangers star added about Griffiths: “It bamboozles me to think that Leigh Griffiths doesn’t start for Celtic, but listen, that’s Brendan Rodgers’s choice.

“But you see the difference in Celtic when he came on in the second half. His movement causes defenders all sorts of problems, and he is a natural goalscorer. So I expect Celtic to win this one.”

Leigh Griffiths of Celtic is seen during a training session at Lennoxtown on December 29, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic have the best squad in Scotland, and given their recent run of form, it is hard to see the Hoops lose to Hibernian.

However, Hibs manager Neil Lennon knows how to set his side against better teams, and one should not be surprised if they are able to pick up a point at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
