Barry Ferguson has joked that he would ‘kill’ his mates if they made him sport a Celtic kit on his stag.

Aberdeen star Shay Logan was pictured kitted out in a full Celtic kit on Wednesday, ahead of his wedding.

Logan also had to wear giant shoes from the Hoops’ mascot Huddle Hound but to make it even more unbearable for the Dons man, it was a Scott Brown jersey.

The Celtic captain has clashed with the English defender in the past, but Rangers legend Ferguson praised the 31-year-old for participating in the banter.

He told PLZ Soccer on YouTube: “On my stag do if my mates turned up with something like that, I’d kill them!

“Listen it’s good banter. Fair play to Shay Logan – he’s taken it from his mates. It’s a laugh and fair play to the guy.”

It was indeed great banter by Logan’s friends, and Brown himself will see the funny side.

Celtic and Brown will meet Aberdeen and Logan in a few weeks for a Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

Derek McInnes’s side, who drew 0-0 at Parkhead in a Premiership clash earlier this month, eliminated Ferguson’s old club Rangers in the quarter-final last week.
