Barry Ferguson praises Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers’s leadership.

Ferguson, who had two different spells at Ibrox club Rangers, has praised Rodgers for acting quickly in the transfer market.
Scottish Premiership club Celtic have signed Marvin Compper from German club RB Leipzig, with the central defender to officially move to the Bhoys on January 1.
According to BBC Sport, the Hoops had to pay a transfer fee of around £1m in order to secure the services of the 32-year-old central defender.

Celtic have had issues defensively this season, and it was badly exposed during their 4-0 hammering by Heart of Midlothian away from home in the Scottish Premiership earlier this month.
The Glasgow giants have also struggled defensively in the Champions League this season, although the Hoops have dropped to the Europa League round-of-32.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has praised Celtic manager Rodgers for moving quickly to address the team’s need.

Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record: “Celtic were rattled and Rodgers will know there are some issues he needs to address. That’s why he’s already been busy in the transfer market before it’s even open for business.
“He’s seeing signs of deterioration and he’s acting swiftly to correct them. That’s good management. That’s real leadership. That’s everything Rangers are crying out for.”
