Hearts defender John Souttar is reportedly attracting interest from Glasgow giants Rangers.

Barry Ferguson has admitted that he has changed his mind about Hearts defender John Souttar, who is being touted for a move to Rangers in the summer.
The Herald Scotland claim that the 22-year-old is on the wishlist of Gers manager Steven Gerrard, who is keen to add him to his squad for next season.
Speaking to PLZ Soccer’s official YouTube account, Ferguson stated that he is now impressed with what Souttar brings to the table as he lauded his qualities.
“I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure of him last season,” Ferguson told PLZ Soccer. “I think this season he’s got better. Physically, he looks a lot stronger and in the games I’ve seen he’s certainly impressed. He’s going in the right direction.
“I think he can be the next one to push to get into that Scotland team or a bigger move because as I say I think he’s got everything. He’s a ball playing centre-half and he’s got the added bonus that he’s playing with Berra, whose experienced and helped him along – he’s a boy who I certainly thin can go to a higher level.”

Centre-back Souttar has been outstanding for Hearts this season and given his good form for Craig Levin’s side they would do very well to keep hold of him in the summer.
There is no doubt if the young defender makes the switch Tynecastle to Ibrox then he will improve Gerrard’s side, who have gone trophyless in his first season in charge in Scotland’s top-tier.
The former Liverpool man will be looking to put that right next term and adding players like Souttar to his squad could prove to be valuable because they can provide Gerrard with the consistency he needs.
