Glasgow Rangers will be without Kyle Lafferty for their next Scottish Premiership game which sees Steven Gerrard’s men travel away from Ibrox.

Lafferty cannot play against Accies after the Irish FA invoked FIFA’s five day rule with the forward not featuring for Northern Ireland in the international break.
Alfredo Morelos looks set to lead the line against Martin Canning’s men, but Ferguson feels that it is a major blow for Steven Gerrard’s side that Lafferty will not be available.
“It’s disappointing,” he said, as reported by STV. “Rangers are going to be missing an important player for a hard game.

“Kyle was a big signing for Rangers but they just need to dust themselves down.”
It is certainly a setback given the depth that Rangers have up front. Morelos and Lafferty are shouldering the striker burden this season with loanee Umar Sadiq seemingly not ready for the first-team fold.

So for Lafferty to be absent for the game is something that Gerrard could have done without given that he will have to take a risk if Morelos picks up an injury at the weekend.
But given the form that Morelos was showing before the international break, there seems to be no reason why the Colombian cannot ensure that Rangers do not miss the summer signing too much on Sunday.
