Jake Hastie joined Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers in the summer transfer window.

Hastie moved to Rangers in the summer transfer window on a free, having agreed a pre-contract with the Gers back in January 2019 when he was at Motherwell.
The 20-year-old winger has struggled for playing time at Rangers so far this season, although the Scotland Under-21 international did come on as a substitute against East Fife in the Scottish League Cup in the 79th minute.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has shared his worries about Hastie, and has suggested that the youngster made a mistake in joining the Gers.
Speaking ahead of the game at the weekend, Ferguson said on PLZ Soccer: “Hastie is a player that I think has a bright future. There’s no doubt in my mind that he has got ability.
“He had a great four or five months at Motherwell. He took the chance to go to Rangers, which is going to earn him a lot of money, and fair play to the boy.
“He has not been anywhere the Rangers 18, and that’s a worry for me because this kid could be a future Scotland player.”
Going out on loan
Hastie is a very good winger, but there is a lot of competition for a place in the Rangers starting lineup this season.
