Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has disciplinary issues.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos
Ferguson, who had two separate spells at Rangers, has suggested that Morelos needs to sort out his temperament and his disciplinary issues if the Ibrox striker is to play for a bigger club in the coming years.
The 22-year-old Colombia international striker was sent off against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership last week – his eighth red card of the season.
Ferguson wrote about Morelos in The Daily Record: “A lot of big clubs around Europe will be taking note but why would they take a multi-million pound risk on a player who can’t be trusted to stay on the pitch?”
Meanwhile, Rangers defensive midfielder Ryan Jack has revealed to The Scottish Sun what he and his teammates have been telling Morelos.
Jack told The Scottish Sun: “All the boys are saying to Alfredo there is that fine line. There is that fine line between being competitive and sometimes overstepping the mark.
“As a team, we need to stay round him and stay with him to make sure he improves that side.”

Title challenge
Morelos is the best striker on the books of Rangers at the moment, and for the Gers to maintain their challenge for the Scottish Premiership, they need the 22-year-old to be playing regularly.
The Colombian has to improve his temperament and simply cannot afford to miss any more games due to suspension, as that is only going to hurt Gerrard’s Rangers.
