Ryan Kent has joined Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers from Liverpool.
Ryan Kent of Rangers
Barry Ferguson has said on PLZ Soccer that Ryan Kent will be an excellent signing for Rangers.
Rangers signed Kent from Liverpool on transfer deadline day for a fee reported by The Express to be worth £7 million.
The 22-year-old winger spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Rangers from the Reds, scoring six goals and providing six assists in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers, according to The Express.
Former Rangers star Ferguson does not think that Kent on his own can win the Scottish Premiership title for the Gers, but he has backed the Englishman to respond positively to the pressure he will be under because of the price-tag.
Ferguson said about Kent on PLZ Soccer: “I don’t think one player wins you the title, but Ryan Kent will make Rangers a better team, there’s no doubt in my mind.
“I thought last season, I thought he was a stuck-out player. In the big games he produced, and Rangers have really pushed the boat out to get him. I think in time he will be a top player.
“There is going to be a lot of pressure on his shoulders because of the price-tag, but I think he is the type of boy who will handle the pressure and I think he will be an excellent signing.”

Good signing for Rangers
Kent was superb for Rangers last season, and his performances in the big games, such as the Old Firm derbies against Celtic, were very encouraging.
True, the Gers do have a number of other wingers, but the Englishman is proven quality who has shown that he can thrive playing in front of 50,000 fans at Ibrox on a regular basis.
