Barry Ferguson comments on Josh Windass’ Rangers future amid Leeds speculation

Josh Windass is a key figure in Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers and has been linked with a move away from Ibrox to Leeds United.

Barry Ferguson has suggested in The Daily Record that Rangers should not sell Josh Windass unless they are offered between £2 million and £3m.

Leeds United in the Championship in England have been linked with a move for Rangers midfielder Windass in the January transfer window.

According to The Daily Record, Leeds are prepared to offer £500,000 as transfer fee for the 24-year-old Ibrox midfielder.

The report has also claimed that Preston North End in the Championship in England also made a bid of £500,000, which Rangers turned down.

Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has stated that Windass is a key player for Graeme Murty’s side at the moment.

The former Scotland international has also stated that Rangers should not entertain any offer for the former Accrington Stanley star unless it is between £2m and £3m.

Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record: “There’s no question that the club is moving in the right direction again and, knocking back bids of £500,000 for Josh Windass is another indication of strength.

“Windass has emerged as a key player and it was down to me I wouldn’t entertain any offer for him unless it was somewhere between two and three million quid.”

Windass is playing well for Rangers at the moment, and it would make sense for the Gers to keep hold of him until the end of the season as they aim to finish second in the Scottish Premiership.
