Ex-Rangers star Ferguson played with West Ham goalkeeper Hart at Birmingham City.

Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has told the Daily Record that he believes Allan McGregor is a better goalkeeper than West Ham United loanee Joe Hart, as the Gers close in on luring McGregor back to Ibrox.
The Record had previously claimed that 36-year-old McGregor is in advanced talks with Rangers and is expected to sign a two-year deal at Ibrox, six years after leaving the club to join Turkish outfit Besiktas.
The 38-time Scotland international’s current contract is set to expire at current side Hull City at the end of the season, where he has missed just one English Championship fixture throughout the entire 2017-18 campaign.

Ferguson has worked with goalkeepers Stefan Klos, Andy Goram and Brad Friedel during his career as well as Hart at Birmingham City, but the ex-Gers captain believes McGregor tops the lot.
“Allan is probably the best goalkeeper I’ve played with – and I’ve played with some top ones like Goram, Klos, Hart, Ben Foster and Friedel,” Ferguson said.
“He’s different class as a goalie but he’s also a strong character and that’s what that place needs. He knows the demands and the pressures.
“He’d be a top signing but he might have to deal with the reaction of the fans over his departure. All you can do if you come back is make sure you perform on the pitch.”

After clocking up 250 appearances in all competitions, McGregor left the Gers in 2012 when the Light Blues were forced to restart in the fourth tier of Scottish football following a financial collapse.
Hart, 30, remains on loan at West Ham from Manchester City, and continues to be heavily criticised with his place on England’s plane to Russia this summer in jeopardy. He earns £120,000 a week, according to The Sun.
