Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers have signed Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield, and former Gers midfielder Barry Ferguson is impressed.

Rangers have signed McGregor on a free transfer following the departure of the 36-year-old goalkeeper from Hull City in the Championship in England.
The Scotland international goalkeeper started his professional club football career at Rangers and left for Besiktas in Turkey in 2012.
Ferguson also started his professional club football career at Rangers and played with McGregor at Ibrox.
The 40-year-old former Scotland international midfielder, who won the Scottish league title with Rangers five times, has backed the Gers’ decision to sign McGregor.
Ferguson has also suggested that Scott Arfield will prove to be a good signing for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
The 29-year-old Canada international midfielder has moved to the Gers on a free transfer following his departure from Premier League club Burnley at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record: “Arfield comes with a decent pedigree but I’m told he is also a good character and a highly driven professional.
“Greegsy is cut from the same cloth. He was always a talented keeper but I recall watching him as a 15-year-old and thinking to myself: ‘I love this boy’s attitude. That’s what’s going to take him to the top’.
“Like me, he hates losing. Like me, he loves winning in a Rangers shirt. So I like the start Gerrard has made. I firmly believe there will be some big surprises to come.”

Summer rebuilding
Arfield and McGregor are hugely experienced footballers who could prove to be brilliant signings for Rangers.
Signing the duo on free transfers was very smart of the Gers, who seem to be serious about building a strong team for the 2018-19 campaign in order to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
