Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have put Graeme Murty in charge until the end of the January.

Barry Ferguson has told the Daily Record that he feels sorry for Glasgow Rangers boss Graeme Murty.
Murty has been left in limbo, during his time in charge at Ibrox, with his own future very uncertain.
Murty took over as temporary boss of Rangers after Pedro Caixinha was sacked, and he was initially expected to be in charge for the short-term.
However, Murty has now been told he will stay in charge of Rangers until the new year, when the Light Blues will assess their managerial situation again.

Ferguson feels that Murty is being treated unfairly, and he has urged Rangers to give the 43-year-old more certainty over his future.
“You just need to look at the way they blew it last week at home to St Johnstone to see the damage this is causing,” Ferguson said.
“I don’t blame Murty for that. I feel sorry for him that he’s been left in such an impossible position.
“If they at least give him the job until the end of the campaign then everyone inside the dressing room will know where they stand.”

Murty had led Rangers to three victories on the spin, but the Gers were sent crashing back down to earth when they lost 3-1 to St. Johnstone last weekend.
Rangers were well off the pace in their last outing, and a big improvement will be expected tomorrow.
Murty’s side are due to face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday afternoon, and they know that if they are able to pick up a victory they could reduce the gap on top of the table Celtic down to five points.
