Leeds United left-back Barry Douglas has congratulated his teammate Kalvin Phillips on Instagram on being called up to the England squad yet again.
As stated on Leeds’s official website, Phillips has been named in the latest England squad.
The Three Lions will take on Wales, Belgium and Denmark this month, and the 24-year-old midfielder will get the chance to play in them all.
Phillips made his debut for England last month, as he played for Gareth Southgate’s side against Denmark.
The 24-year-old has been playing well for Leeds in the Premier League this season, and he has been rewarded by another England call-up.
Leeds left-back Douglas, who has one cap for Scotland, has praised Phillips on Instagram, and believes that his England call-up was never in doubt.
Douglas responded: “Never in doubt bro.”
Deserved England call-up
Phillips was one of the best players in the Championship last season, and he seems to have had no problem in the Premier League so far this campaign.
The 24-year-old has progressed well over the past two or so years under Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa, who has been superb for the Whites.
