Leif Davis played well for Leeds United on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old – who can also operate as a left wing-back and has been on the books of Leeds since January 2018 when he joined from Championship rivals Middlesbrough for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4.5 million – was impressed with the performance of Davis for the Whites in their EFL Cup game against Stoke City at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
The 19-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a central defender, had a good game overall against the Potters, as he looked very comfortable and settled in the second half, made a brilliant challenge on Sam Vokes, and also put in a great cross for Helder Costa’s goal.
Douglas told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Davis: “That was a great ball. Sometimes people get on the end of them, sometimes they don’t. He’s another exciting player, I’m sure he’ll do well this year.”
Promising talent
Davis has made a handful of appearances for Leeds first team, and the teenager has looked quite good and his performances have been very encouraging.
Leeds do seem to have a gem in Davis, who can only get better and improve with playing time for the first team this season.
