Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has praised Celtic attacker Kyogo Furuhashi on Twitter while watching him in action against Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup final.

Celtic have got the better of Hibernian 2-1 at Hampden Park in the Scottish League Cup final.

Kyogo Furuhashi stars for Celtic

Furuhashi scored both the goals for the Hoops.

The Japan international, who can play as a forward or as a winger, found the back of the net first in the 52nd minute.

The 26-year-old scored the second following a brilliant free kick from Tom Rogic.

Wednesday midfielder Bannan was following the match, and he was hugely impressed by Kyogo.

Bannan, who has played 27 times for Scotland, is a Celtic fan, as he told Herald Scotland back in March 2009.

Big player for Celtic

Furuhashi is one of the best players for Celtic and has been superb for the Hoops so far this season.

The Japan international moved to Ange Postecoglou’s side in the summer of 2021.
