The 28-year-old midfielder has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Owls and has sent a passionate message to the fans.
Bannan is one of the best players in the current Wednesday team and is one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
The performance of the former Aston Villa and Crystal Palace midfielder against Leeds was not exactly great, but there were some encouraging signs.
Wednesday may not end up in the Championship playoffs this season, but a good end to the campaign will set them up nicely for the 2018-19 campaign.
