Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Aston Villa.

Wednesday went down 2-0 to Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Jonathan Kodjia put the Villans in the lead in the 34th minute, and added a second 11 minutes from full time.

Wednesday ended the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of Vincent Sasso just three minutes into the second half.

Bannan started the match for Wednesday and played for the entire 90 minutes. The 27-year-old Scotland international midfielder has taken to Twitter to send a message to the Wednesday and the Villa fans.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Villa had 44% of the possession, took nine shots of which three were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Wednesday had 56% of the possession, took 13 shots of which only two were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
