Sheffield Wednesday have undergone a change of hands in recent weeks.
The arrival of Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence has had a positive impact on Sheffield Wednesday’s training sessions, according to Barry Bannan.
Agnew and Clemence have spent the past two weeks working with Wednesday’s players in the absence of Steve Bruce, who begins work as Owls manager on February 1.
Hillsborough’s new management team was hired to replace that of Bruce’s predecessor, Jos Luhukay – although the Dutchman’s coaching team, comprising Lee Bullen, Nicky Weaver and Remy Reynierse, has remained in place for now at least.
And if recent results (three wins and three draws from seven matches) aren’t evidence enough to suggest a cloud has been lifted over Sheffield Wednesday, then Bannan’s comments should be.
Asked about life under two of the three Steves, the Scotland international told BBC Radio Sheffield: “Really enjoyable to be fair.
“Steve and Clem have come in and it’s been brilliant. The training’s changed, now all the boys are starting to enjoy the training that we’re doing.
“The manager [Bruce] spoke to us on his first day he came in, so we know what’s happening and stuff.
“We’ve enjoyed the last two weeks – different ideas and different formations and stuff like that.”
Sheffield Wednesday face Wigan Athletic and Chelsea before Bruce’s first game at Ipswich Town a fortnight on Saturday.
