Barry Bannan was a youngster at Aston Villa, but he now plays a key role at Sheffield Wednesday.

Bannan broke through as a youngster at Villa in 2008, and spent five years with the claret and blues before departing.
The Scot is now at Wednesday, where he is one of their more senior players.
And Bannan believes that his desire to help out Wednesday’s prospects stems from being in the Villa dressing room during his younger years.
“It’s something I don’t really think about going into games [being a leader],” Bannan said.
“I remember coming into the first team at Villa and there were some big figures in that team.
“I just remember, it wasn’t that they were going out of their way to help me, it just came naturally. I think that’s happened to me.
“There were loads at Villa: Gareth Barry, Stylian Petrov, James Milner, Ashley Young, Gabby Agbonlahor,”
Everyone was a leader in their own way, so it was good to learn from them. That’s helped me now with our young boys coming through.”

Bannan made 83 appearances in total for Villa, before departing in 2013.
He has gone on to become an established Championship player, and a key part of Wednesday’s team.
Bannan has been with the Owls for over three years now, and is very popular at Hillsborough.
Villa are currently trailing Bannan’s Wednesday side by a point in the Championship table, after six games have been played this season.
